WORD OF MOUTH MKTG – MY BIG MOUTH!
ok, so i was sitting here thinking about REALLY how many people “i’ve told” and i put that in quotations because “I” am including ReTweets in my math…
ok, so let’s take a look at twitter. I quicky skimmed through my most recent ReTweets in order to get these numbers… there’s probably more, but for the purpose of this experiment, these will do
Ok, I myself have 850 followers
Via people’s followers who have ReTweeted me, i’ve reached another 10,365 people
so twitter alone, my campaign has reached (approx) 11,215 people.
Facebook, now, i’ve taken a quick look to see who has posted “vote for my friend here” on their status’ plus my friends…
My friends who i’ve told: 481
How many ppl were reached thanks to my awesome friends: 4,693
Grand total (approx) for Facebook: 5174
Non Social methods ie. email, message boards… roughly 538 people
i’ve handed out about 100 pins… so… people that MY message has reached weighs in at….
TOTAL: 17,027
pretty cool huh??? ok, here’s where it gets fun, let’s say… and i will keep it SUPER low… 5% of those people told 1 other person… then that would bring the total up to: 17,878
so, let’s take that number as an example for say (keeping it low again) half the 500 finalists…
the grand total for that: 4,469,600 crazy huh
Now, here’s where it gets fun… these numbers are a rough estimate of course… BUT does not include and TV/Radio interviews, magazine/newspaper interviews, posters, flyers, stickers etc that hypercubers have made…. imagine those numbers!!!!

T,
I just was a judge at an international modeling event!! I think it’s beyond wild… when I was introduced.. and could be broadcast in 5 languages.. to Korea, France, UK, Spain, Taiwan, USA,… etc, as “looking for 20,000 women (models) for my movie”.. and how I needed to win this Nissan cube car.. to take me on this roadtrip of a journey!!
I couldn’t care less about the votes… but it’s the standing ovation I got, just for really putting the inde into independent film… well that, and for searching for 20, 000 women!! LOL
Word of mouth is amazing!

It depends how you define “work” ! If mere hearing is the goal…. absolutely. Or seeing. Let’s not be sense biased here. Maybe even tasting that yummy cube.
